Aidan Able is a dynamic 6’4” guard known for his elite scoring ability, shooting touch, and advanced offensive skill set. One of the most accomplished players in John Carroll history, Able has cemented himself as one of the top scorers in Baltimore Catholic League history while showcasing the ability to impact games as a versatile perimeter threat and playmaker.
High School
Able built one of the most impressive careers in John Carroll history, finishing his high school career with over 2,400 points, 600 rebounds, and 300 assists. His historic scoring production made him the all-time leading scorer in John Carroll history, surpassing NBA veteran Immanuel Quickley, and made him the 11th player in Baltimore Catholic League history to surpass 2,000 career points.
A proven scoring threat, Able established himself as one of the premier perimeter shooters in the region, finishing as John Carroll’s all-time leader in career three-pointers while also setting the program record for most three-pointers made in a single season. His ability to stretch the floor, create his own shot, and consistently score at all three levels made him one of the most difficult offensive matchups in the Baltimore Catholic League.
Able ranks among the most decorated players in John Carroll history, finishing No. 1 in career points and career three-pointers, No. 1 in three-pointers made in a season, No. 2 in career free throws made, No. 5 in career two-point field goals made, No. 6 in career assists, No. 7 in games played, and No. 8 in career rebounds.
His dominant career earned him numerous accolades, including 2025–26 All-BCL First Team honors, 2024–25 All-BCL First Team recognition, 2024–25 MIAA A All-Conference honors, 2024–25 All-Harford County recognition, and 2024–25 All-Metro Second Team honors.
Able will continue his basketball career at the collegiate level after committing to UMBC, bringing proven scoring ability, shooting range, and leadership to the Retrievers.
Personal
Born on July 18, 2008, in Baltimore, Maryland, Able is the son of Kendall Peace-Able and Joseph Able. He enjoys playing video games, fishing, and spending time with his family away from the court.
His favorite songs include “Listen Up” and “Top Priority” by Lil Baby, who is also his favorite artist. His favorite movie is the entire Home Alone series. A fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles, Able looks up to NBA stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Brunson, and Luka Dončić as role models.
Before games, Able’s routine includes meditation, yoga, and listening to music to help prepare mentally and physically for competition.
